W MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – A man suspected in a shooting last week which injured a teenage girl has been arrested.
The shooting happened last Thursday night around 1 p.m. at 181 NW 76th Avenue. Miami-Dade police said two men got into a fight and one of them, identified as 34-year old Yannie Lambert Vargas, pulled a gun.
When Lambert Vargas fired, he hit the teenage daughter of the man he was arguing with. The girl, who was sitting in a car nearby, was shot in the arm.
Her father drove her to a relative’s home where they called 9-1-1 to report the shooting. The girl was then taken to the hospital where she was treated.
Charges against Lambert Vargas include attempted murder, aggravated child abuse, child abuse, possession of a weapon during a crime. He’s being held without bond.
