MIAMI GARDENS (CBS4/Miami Herald) — A South Florida man wanted for shooting at a group of people in December has been arrested.

Joshua Ezra Everett of Miami Gardens was grabbed by a U.S. Marshals task force Friday as he got out of a Tri-Rail train. Authorities believe he had been hiding in Palm Beach County.

The 23-year-old Everett was wanted on five counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Police say Everett got into an argument with four men before on Dec. 26. He walked into his mother’s home, grabbed an assault rifle and fired at least 25 bullets.

Five people were wounded in the shooting.

Federal authorities say Everett was convicted of burglary and larceny charges in 2006.

Teen Given Bond In Michael Brewer Case

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – Matthew Bent, 16, was given a bail of $250,000 for his part in the burning of Michael Brewer in October 2009.

Bent’s lawyer, Gordon Weeks, said the amount of the bond is essentially the same as giving Bent no bond because there is no way the family can post bond.

Weeks had originally asked the judge to set the bail at $20,000. Prosecutors countered saying the bond should be $250,000 due to the nature of the crime. Bent’s lawyer is still determining whether the amount constitutes excessive bail for Bent.

Bent and two other teens, 16-year-old Denver Jarvis and 17-year-old Jesus Mendez, face charges of attempted murder for their role in the attack on Brewer.

The attack occurred in October 2009 when the then 15-year old Brewer was doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire. The trio reportedly set Brewer on fire after an argument over a video game and a stolen bike.

He survived by jumping into a nearby swimming pool. He suffered burns over 60-percent of his body. He spent months rehabilitating at Jackson memorial Hospital Burn Center in Miami.

Bent, Mendez and Jarvis remain in jail charged as adults. Each faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

Judicial Friendship Can’t Keep Alleged CVS Robber From Jail

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – William Abrons had a friend on the bench Wednesday when he appeared in Broward County bond court on charges including attempted murder linked to a robbery at a Lauderhill CVS store. The judge recognized him as the man who shined his shoes at the courthouse once a week, but that still didn’t get Abrons out of jail.

When Judge John Hurley looked up, he recognized Abrons as the man who worked outside of the Broward County Courthouse, shining shoes. He seemed taken aback by the charges against the shoeshine man, and the fact they had a personal relationship.

“I think you’re a great guy. I think you’re a nice guy,” he said from the bench, talking to Abrons over a TV monitor. “You always have been a kind person so I have nothing against you, only positive experiences with you, but if you want me to go get another judge, I’ll do it.”

Abrons said he was fine with Hurley remaining on the bench, and the judge continued to express sympathy for his plight.

“I know you’ve had a tough life, I know you’ve had tough things with your family, and I know you’ve had a tough road to go up ’til now.”

Judge Hurley said he knows Abrons could not afford a lawyer, and said one would be appointed to help him.

Abrons may need that help.

He’s charged with walking into a Lauderhill CVS store Monday night. Police said he approached the counter disguised with gauze on his face and arms, holding a bottle of hydrogen peroxide.

The clerk said he put the bottle down, pulled out a small shiny handgun, pointed it at her, and demanded money.

After fleeing with some rolls of coins and paper money, police said, he stopped at the cashier stand in the front of the store and repeated his demand for cash. This cashier backed away, and she claimed he pointed the gun at her head and dry-fired it before fleeing.

According to the arrest form, witnesses at the drug store saw the whole thing. Abrons was spotted in a nearby laundry after police saw a trail of money he dropped as he ran from the store. Cops found the gauze, the rolls of coins, and even the gun, which had been dumped into a washing machine.

The shoe-shine man was arrested, and Judge Hurley noted that he had made a complete confession, on videotape.

It was clear Judge Hurley was troubled by the shoe-shine man’s story.

“It’s unfortunate. Like I say, I’ve gotten to know you over the last year, and I know you’ve told me about the troubles you’ve had, and how you’ve come back and tried to make something of your life. I feel terrible that it’s taken this turn,” Judge Hurley said.

Even with a friend on the bench, that was too much for Judicial leniency.

“With a heavy heart, Mr. Abrons, I am going to order that you be held without bond on count 1, attempted murder, count 2, robbery with a firearm, and count 3, aggravated assault. You’re going to be held without bond until further order of the court,” he said.

Unknown at this point is what caused Abrons to allegedly turn from independent businessman to a felon that could put him in prison for decades.

MIAMI – (CBS4) – A 24-year-old woman whom police say is a prostitute lured men and then robbed them, Miami police said.

Heather Burroughs faces several charges that range from armed robbery and attempted murder in two separate incidents.

In the first case, police say Burroughs approached a man at 9 a.m. on May 15th in the area of Northwest 7th Avenue and 20th Street. The police report states the man was looking “for a prostitute to have sex with.”

Police say Burroughs and the man who was not identified in the report spent the day together in Miami Beach. The man later took her back to an address on the 600 block of Northwest 24th Street. She told the man to wait for her while she went upstairs for a minute.

An hour passed by and Burroughs did not return so he left. The man said later that night he received phone calls and text messages from her. Burroughs said she wanted to go out to dinner with him and pay him back for the bathing suit he had purchased for her the day before.

The following day, the pair met and that’s when Burroughs told him to go to an ATM so that she could withdraw money to pay him back. Instead, she pulled out a silver pistol and allegedly told him, “Don’t do anything stupid. I am a professional at this. We have done this before and there is someone following us.”

The man pulled into a New Century Bank at 486 NW 27th Ave. and withdrew $500 and when he returned with the money, she ordered him to stay out of the car. Police say she drove off with his car.

In the second case, Burroughs is accused of going back with another man to the Starlite Motel at 135 SW 8th Street just before 6 p.m. on May 17th.

While the man undressed, Burroughs told him she had forgotten something in his car. She went out with his keys and he “realized that the defendant had nothing inside his car.”

He walked out and saw Burroughs about to drive off with his car. The man who was wearing only his underwear clung to his gray Toyota Corolla. But he was dragged across the parking lot. Burroughs is accused of side swiping the car against a chain-link metal fence, which caused him to let go. Burroughs then made a U-turn and ran over the man injuring his leg. The man later told police that the pair had dated on and off for the past four weeks.

Police were called to the scene and they were able to arrest her. They found she had a glass pipe with cocaine residue .

Burroughs was ordered held no bond and faces an attempted murder charge, strong arm robbery, grand theft auto, cocaine possession, false imprisonment, armed robbery with a firearm and grand theft.

COCONUT GROVE (CBS4) – A weekend dispute among neighbors caused an apartment building’s evacuation, several damaged units and left residents of a Coconut Grove neighborhood shaken up.

Now, police say it was all over $5.

A man who borrowed $5 from his neighbor ended up behind bars after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail into his apartment after the neighbor tried to get his money back.

Police say 38-year-old Oscar Cairo asked his neighbor, Dominique Hunt, for some money Sunday morning. Hunt allowed Cairo to borrow $5 from him.

Cairo told Hunt he would repay him later in the day, according to the police report.

Hours later, Hunt saw Cairo counting money and Hunt allegedly went up to him and asked him to repay him. When Cairo refused to pay him back, Hunt “snatched the defendant’s money out of his hand,” police wrote in their report.

The dispute led to serious consequences when Cairo returned to Hunt’s apartment on Southwest 3300 block of Grand Avenue and demanded money from those living inside. Cairo then allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail inside the apartment causing fire and smoke damage.

The fire caused damage to several units. Hunt received a minor injury as a result of the blaze. Police said he sustained a small bruise to his face.

Cairo, charged with four counts of attempted murder, arson, aggravated battery and throwing a deadly missile, faced a bond court judge Monday who ordered him held on $50,000 bond.

Cairo refused to give police a statement.

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – Trial is underway for a Sunrise father and his daughter accused in the kidnapping and the attempted murder of a Tamarac woman.

On the stand Monday, police investigators answered questions about what evidence led them to 67-year Neville Baker and his 39-year old daughter Rossaine.

According to court records, in October 2009 Neville Baker and another man, who remains at large, forced 22-year old Nicola Brown into a car at gunpoint in Coral Springs. They drove around for a while and then demanded that Brown get the trunk when they stopped in warehouse area in Tamarac. She refused, struggled and finally escaped, but not before being shot twice.

Brown was airlifted to Broward General Medical Center and survived.

Investigators say Rossaine Baker and Brown were rivals for the same man, according to the Sun-Sentinel. At the time of the shooting, Rossaine Baker was out on bond for allegedly attacking Brown the year before.

Prosecutors told CBS4 they hope their ‘smoking gun’, which will convince the jury to convict the pair,  is a surveillance tape of the Bakers trying to clean the car used to kidnap Brown.

Charges against Neville and Rossaine Baker include attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and kidnapping.

Both father and daughter have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – A Lauderhill police officer charged with attempted murder over the weekend after he allegedly fired on another Lauderhill officer will remain behind bars.

During a hearing Monday morning, bond was denied for 30-year old Kristopher Bieger.

According to his arrest affidavit, Bieger had been dating Officer Brittny Skinner for several months.

“For the last two to three months, they have multiple verbal arguments, jealousy, mistrust, constantly calling her, harassing her,” said Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley as he read from the arrest affidavit. “ Finally, she broke up and said ‘Do not call me anymore, stay away’.”

The shooting happened Saturday around 7 p.m. in the 5500 block of Oakland Boulevard, according to Lauderhill Police Captain Constance Stanley. Bieger reportedly fired 10 shots a female officer sitting a patrol car but missed. Stanley said the female officer was working a private duty case when the shooting happened.

“Obviously she’s very fortunate to still be here and not get hit,” said Stanley. “He shot several times. He did miss her.”One of the bullets reportedly hit the officer in her bullet proof vest.

She also said none of the other people in the busy shopping center were hit.

“A truck pulled up on the side of her car, shots rang out, it was like a movie, you know,” said a witness who did not want to the identified in this report, “I was so close I had to take cover, I thought somebody was shooting at me.”

Edmond Pascal said he heard the gunfire ring out from his barbershop.

“When I go outside, the police say nobody go outside,” recalled Pascal.

After the shooting, Bieger fled and ended up at a Davie pizza restaurant in the 4800 block of Volunteer Road where the Davie police department’s Special Response Team took him into custody. Employees at Donato’s Ristorante watched as the team members came in through the rear of the restaurant with guns drawn and surround Bieger.

“It was a little scary, but everything was fine,” said Juan Arebalo, a cook.

The police report says that Beiger was suicidal after the shooting, even asking a fellow officer for a bullet. He also spoke to family, the report says, admitting he just shot up Officer Skinner’s car.

Bieger has been with Lauderhill police for the last five years. He is now suspended without pay. He’s being held on no bond.

MIAMI – (CBSMiami.com) — A one-time stripper at a Hialeah club now faces several felonies after police say she robbed, kidnapped and attempted to murder a client.

Police say Dariana Aleman, 23, who worked at PT’s Showclub, had told a man she met at the strip club to meet her at an address in Hialeah Gardens on November 3rd at 11 p.m.

Police say Aleman had asked to meet with the male victim because he owed her some money. When she arrived in a white, 4-door Chevy Impala, the victim noticed there was another woman and a man in the back seat. Once inside, the man police identified as Aleman’s boyfriend pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the victim.

The boyfriend allegedly told the man “This is how it’s going to be” and snatched the victim’s gold chain from his neck and then allegedly told his girlfriend, “Babe, drive, we’re going to have to take this guy and kill him.”

That’s when Aleman allegedly said, “Don’t kill him.”

Aleman’s boyfriend then told the victim to hand over his Rolex watch, which he did. Eventually, the victim attempted to fight back and during that struggle a shot rang out, but no one was struck.

Police say the victim was pistol whipped before Aleman dropped him off in the area of Northwest 19th Avenue and Fifth Street.

Aleman appeared before a bond court judge Wednesday who was held no bond.

LAUDERHILL (CBS4) – The urgent police radio call came in around 7 pm Saturday night from Inverness Plaza in Lauderhill.

Lauderhill Officer Brittny Skinner screamed that she needs help. Immediately.

“Have units respond over here, please, please, please,” she begged the police dispatcher.

Skinner decided to drive to the police station, which was only a short distance away. But she continued breathlessly speaking with the dispatcher.

“Shots fired into my vehicle. Please Oh my God, help me,” she said.

At first, Skinner had no idea if a bullet struck her.

“I don’t know, just help me please. I don’t know,” she said on the radio call.

Moments later word came from an unidentified male police officer that Skinner was ok.

“She is not hit, she is not hit,” the man said.

In fact, a bullet struck the back of Skinner’s bulletproof vest but she was not injured.

Lauderhill Police say Officer Kristopher Bieger had just shot up Skinner’s marked unit. Police reports show the pair dated for several months until Skinner ended the relationship, claiming Bieger became controlling and constantly harassed her.

Police say Bieger was irate and tried to kill his fellow officer while she sat in her marked patrol unit outside a closed restaurant.

On the police radio calls, it’s clear officers quickly identified Bieger as a suspect. Police reports show Skinner told investigators she could see that Bieger was the person who shot her. Officers are heard giving out the make and model of Bieger’s truck and contacting police in the city where Bieger’s family lives.

Reports indicate Bieger called several fellow officers and family members after the shooting. More than one officer told police that Bieger was suicidal and asked for ammunition so he could end his life.

Bieger is being held in the Broward County Jail without bond. He is charged with attempted murder.

Police Unravel Hialeah Man’s Tale, Charge Him With Hate Crime

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Hialeah man, found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head after he crashed his pick up truck into a funeral home, will be headed to jail as soon as he’s released from Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Hialeah police arrested and charged 50-year-old Luis Gonzalez on Tuesday with two counts of 2nd degree Attempted Murder-with prejudice with an enhanced Hate Crime classification.

“The irony of this case is that the alleged victim actually turns out to become the defendant,” Mark Overton with the Hialeah Police Chief said. “We hope that this serves as a clear message that this will never be tolerated in Hialeah.”

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on January 2nd. When Hialeah police arrived at the funeral home in the 4800 block of Palm Avenue, they found Gonzalez sitting in his truck bleeding profusely from a single gunshot wound to his head.

Gonzalez told police that he had been robbed by two men in the parking lot outside Jerry and Joe’s Pizza, located at 4799 Palm Ave. He said when he then jumped in his truck and drove towards the men, one of them pulled a gun and shot at him.

Through witness accounts and leads, they were able to determine the two men Gonzalez said robbed and shot him were 20-year-old Andy Alexander Jr. and 21-year-old Tarvis James.

Police said both Alexander and James cooperated fully with investigators, but told a very different story than the one Gonzalez had told.

According to them, they were walking in the street near Jerry and Joe’s Pizza, when Gonzalez started shouting racial slurs and telling them to leave his city. They said at one point Gonzalez revved the engine of his truck and drove at them at a high rate of speed.

Alexander and James stated that in fear for their lives they ran for their lives. James, who was carrying a .25 cal pistol, was able to shoot at Gonzalez three times, striking him once on the side of the head, according to police.

As Hialeah detective dug deeper they were able to determine that Gonzalez had indeed lied to investigators and was not the victim of a robbery, but instead the aggressor.

James said, “Justice was served.”

Police said Gonzalez finally admitted that there had never been a robbery.

As for why he did it, Gonzalez said he was a crime victim during the 1980 “McDuffie Riots” and “has held resentment for black people ever since.”

James said he’s grateful that police were able to find the truth behind the story.

“I just want to tell Hialeah police thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he said. “I thank you for that.”

James said, “I thought I was going to die. That’s it.”

James also had some words for Gonzalez.

“I just hope you can keep an open mind and I know that this is important for all of us to do the same,” James said. “It’s also to say that I hope that God has touched his heart.”

Hate crime enhances attempted murder charges with a maximum of 40 years behind bars. No charges will be filed against James and Alexander.

James said he carried a gun for protection.

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – A violent confrontation that took place in early December outside a convenience store on Sistrunk Blvd in Fort Lauderdale left a South Florida man without a leg.

It began inside the store when, police say, Clarence Hall began harassing Tamaria Wimber and her cousin David Thomas.

“He thought me and my cousin was gay,” said Wimber.  “He thought my cousin was a punk.”

“I told him, dude, I’m not gay,” said Thomas  “and you’re not going to disrespect my cousin.  Like he wanted to fight her. (I said) like, ‘ok, relax, come outside, don’t put your hands on her.‘”

Outside, surveillance video showed Hall trying to fight Thomas, while Thomas and his cousin were just trying to leave.  Eventually he is seen hurling bricks and kicking the car.  The car eventually took off and slammed violently into pole.  What is not seen, just off camera was a man was leaning against that pole.

“He had done thrown the bricks through the windshield and it started looking like spider webs,” said Wimber.  “I couldn’t see and  when I put my good on the brake, I was already on top of this man.”

While the man is screaming in pain, Wimber and her cousin rushed to help him. The man’s leg was so mangled in the crash that doctors had to amputate it.

“(It) just freaked me out!” said Wimber. “Everything freaked me out, it happened so quick.”

Hall faces several charges, including attempted murder.

Investigators may add other charges later.  He’s being held without bond.

Exclusive: Miami Police Searching For Killer Of Cousins Of Veteran Officer

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Police are searching for a killer who shot two cousins of a veteran officer. One victim did not survive and now his grieving family is asking for the public’s help.

“We were so close, I miss him so much,” said the victims’ emotional mother, Diana Misla. “I just hope we catch the person who did this to my son. He could have taken both of my sons’ lives.”

In a CBS4 exclusive, Misla told CBS4’s Peter D’Oench, “My son gave his life in order to give his brother a life.”

Miami Police said the shooting happened at 1:24 a.m. in the parking lot of La Familia Bar and Restaurant at 2828 N.W. 22nd Avenue in the Allapattah section of Miami. They said 18-year-old Joshua De Jesus got into an argument with an acquaintance, 25-year-old Barbaro Felix Fortun.

As the argument escalated, police said 21-year-old Gregory De Jesus intervened. That’s when detectives said Fortun produced a .40 caliber pistol and shot the victims before fleeing the scene on the younger brother’s red cruiser bicycle.

Gregory De Jesus died at the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Joshua De Jesus was shot in the hip and was released Tuesday afternoon from JMH. He declined to say anything when he arrived at his home. His family said he was too upset to speak.

The victims’ loved ones are distraught.

“Words can’t describe how we feel right now,” said the victims’ aunt Tasha DeArmas, as tears flowed down her face. “Like we always see on 48 hours, this happens, but you never thought it would happen to you but it happens to everybody’s family.”

“He was a humble guy. Everybody got along with him,” said Orlando Hernandez, the victims’ uncle. “He had two jobs and they took him away like that. He’s my boy. It’s like it is ripping my heart out of my chest.”

Hernandez told D’Oench that he recognized the photo of the man who police are looking for. “This is terrible. I just want justice for my nephews.”

Hernandez broke down in tears as he saw the card that the five-year-old daughter of Gregory De Jesus had crafted with crayons, announcing that she was collecting money for her father’s funeral.

That daughter, Henesis De Jesus, told D’Oench, “My daddy, my daddy, he got killed.”

“What do you want to say?” D’Oench asked the little girl.

“That my daddy’s up there and he’s watching me and I love him so much,” she responded.

The victims are cousins of Miami Police officer Richard Efrece, who has been on the force for 13 years and who has been on patrol in the same neighborhood where his cousins were shot.

“It didn’t just happen to my family,” said Efrece. “It happened in my area where I work. It makes it even harder because it hits home. Why would someone take somebody’s life over an argument. This guy is a danger to the community and we need to catch him as soon as possible.”

Efrece said he expected that the older brother would take steps to protect his younger brother.

“We’re tight knit,” he said. “When something like that happens, you help out your brother.”

Police describe the suspect, Barbaro Fortun, as a white male who is 5’9” tall, 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt and a sleeveless green military jacket and green army fatigue shorts and white and black sneakers and a baseball cap. He is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.

Fortun has an extensive record. A check of those records shows he has been arrested at least 20 times on charges including loitering and prowling, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft and “battery of police/firefighters.”

Miami Police Sgt. Freddie Cruz told D’Oench, “We have to get this criminal off the street. He took the life of a young man and could have taken the life of his brother. This has special meaning to us. Now it hits home. It’s one of our family members who is affected by this criminal’s actions.”

“Call in please,” said the victims’ mother. “Let’s get him turned in as soon as possible. I hope the community will get together and help out.”

MIAMI (CBS4) – The U.S. Marshals say Barton Hill, 19, is on the run from double murder charges.

“He’s one of the most sought after fugitives in the city right now,” said Deputy U.S .Marshal Barry Golden.

The teenager is on the run from an arrest warrant for a shooting spree in Little Haiti last month.   The feds say Hill and another man opened fire on 4 men who were watching Monday Night Football.

Two of those shooting victims, brothers, did not survive.

Hill’s mother told CBS4’s Brian Andrews she doesn’t believe her son is capable of killing anyone.

“When I find out where he is, I’ll be glad to take him, along with our lawyer, down to police to get this straightened out,” said Barbara Hill.

Barton Hill has a criminal past for violent crimes, including armed robbery and attempted murder, dating back to the age of 16.

US Marshals Deputies believe he is still in the Miami area.   Anyone with information is asked to call 877-WANTED2.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – U.S. Marshals have captured one of South Florida’s most wanted fugitives in Miami with help from a CBS4 viewer.

On October 29th, CBS4’s Brian Andrews profiled the hunt for Barton Hill, 19, who was on the run from double murder charges.

After seeing the Fugitive Task Force story, a viewer thought he saw Hill and called U.S. Marshals late Wednesday night.

Officials set up surveillance at an apartment complex at NW 18th Terrace and 22nd Avenue in Miami where Hill was staying with a girl.   His arrest didn’t come without a fight. Authorities said he jumped out of a second story window and tried to run away. When police caught him, he said he felt like he was going to throw up. He was taken into custody around 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Hill was wanted for a shooting spree in Little Haiti in September. Authorities said Hill and another man opened fire on four people who were watching Monday Night Football under a carport next to a home at 150 NE 68th Terrace.

Two of those shooting victims, brothers Mackenson Pierre, 17, and Yves Sylvester, 15, did not survive.

Relatives of Pierre and Sylvester were glad to hear of Hill’s arrest.

“Thank you because I’m happy, I’m happy now,” said one relative. Their sister also agreed. “I’m happy.”

Barton Hill has a criminal past for violent crimes, including armed robbery and attempted murder, dating back to the age of 16.

His mother told CBS4′s Brian Andrew several weeks ago that she didn’t think her son was capable of hurting anyone.

“My son ain’t capable of shooting nobody. That’s my son and I love him,” said Barbara Hill.

Barton Hill will be booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail before going before a judge to be formally charged with murder.

The tipster who called the Fugitive Task Force, will receive a reward but the amount is unknown at this time.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After nearly two months on the run, U.S. Marshals captured one of South Florida’s most wanted fugitives in Miami with help from a CBS4 viewer and now he’s locked up in the Miami-Dade County jail.

Nineteen-year-old Barton Hill, charged with two counts of murder,  was denied bond Friday and forbidden from contacting two surviving victims  during his first court appearance Friday.

On the way to jail Thursday, cuffed and being walked out of the Miami Police Department, Hill faced reporters’ questions.

“They got the wrong person,” he said. “I never opened fire.”

Hill said he didn’t kill 15-year-old Mackenson Pierre and his 17-year-old brother Yves Sylvester at their Little Haiti home in September as they watched a football game with two other people under a driveway carport.

But their sister said the family is glad Hill is locked up.

“I’m happy for the arrest because he’s off the street and this won’t happen to anyone else,” said Miriam, the murdered teens’ sister.

On October 29th, CBS4’s Brian Andrews profiled the hunt for Barton Hill in his Fugitive Task Force feature. A CBS4 viewer called U.S. Marshals late Wednesday night after spotting Hill at an apartment near the Miami River.

Officials set up surveillance at the apartment complex at NW 18th Terrace and 22nd Avenue in Miami where Hill was staying with a girl.   His arrest didn’t come without a fight. Authorities said he jumped out of a second story window and tried to run away. When police caught him, he said he felt like he was going to throw up. He was taken into custody around 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

The mother of the dead brothers is thankful a CBS4 viewer came forward with vital information to help catch Barton Hill.

“Thank you because I’m happy, I’m happy now,” said Olivia Pierre. “God Bless you because you find that man. Thank you.”

Police also revealed Friday they have arrested the second man who was with Barton Hill the night of the shooting. Ivan Brown, 18,  was arrested on Sept. 23rd and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted felony murder.
